Traveling Exhibit Open House

A public Open House will be held from 1- 4 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2020, in the Bicentennial Room of the Cass County Government Building at 200 Court Park in Logansport.  In addition to the Indiana Historical Society’s traveling exhibit, there will be  items from The Ridlen Museum of Political Communications with curator Sue Ridlen on hand to give a history of the collection.  The Cass County Historial Society will also feature a display.  Jonathan Fisher, of Fisher Funeral Chapel, whose Lafayette funeral home is housed in the home built by Indiana’s first female attorney and first president of the Indiana Women’s Suffrage movement, Helen Gougar, will present a brief history of her important role in getting women the right to vote. The power point presentation compiled by the Olde Town Daughters of the American Revolution will play throughout the event.  Light refreshments will be served.
