Women’s Equality Day March

Celebrate passage of the 19th Amendment (1920), giving women full voting rights. Pre-march location: 9th and Chestnut, ISU parking lot behind Ballyhoo. 5:15 pre-march activities; 6pm program and march. Come as you are, come as a suffragist or 60s feminist. Make a poster about voting, equal rights. Sing the songs of the suffragists as you march. End of march approx. 1/2 mile at Dede Plaza/Hulman Memorial Union [ISU] – short program, refreshments, resources including voter registration. This is a community/campus educational event. It is civic but non-partisan. All are welcome. Co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Vigo County, ISU Office of the President, ISU Community Engagement and other campus and community organizations and businesses.
