100 Years: Indiana Women’s Right to Vote

August 26, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

7:00 pm
Celebrate Indiana’s Suffrage Centennial at The Historic Artcraft!
Did you know August 26, 2020 marks the 100-year anniversary of Hoosier women’s right to vote?
In honor of this important milestone, we’re hosting Dr. Laura Merrifield Wilson, a University of Indianapolis political science professor, during a free event at The Historic Artcraft that evening. Laura will share her talk, “Have We Come A Long Way, Baby?” and discuss how women comprise a majority of the population yet remain underrepresented within American government.
Then, Laura will lead a Q&A with local, female Democratic candidates Angela Elliott (IN#93), Cindy Reinert (IN#58), and Amanda Stevenson-Holmes (County Council At-Large).
This event is free but limited to 185 attendees. Artcraft ushers will ensure proper social distancing for seating and masks are required. The concession stand will be open for purchases.
For more information, contact Amanda Stevenson-Holmes at amanda@amandastevenson.com.
Paid for and authorized by Friends of Amanda Stevenson-Holmes and the Johnson County Democratic Party, R. Kevin Service Chair.
