9:10 AM: Performance by the Capital City Chorus
9:20 AM: “The Five Things to Know about Indiana Women’s Suffrage History” by Dr. Anita Morgan
9:35 AM: Update on the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission
9:50 AM: Travel to the House Gallery for Joint Resolution*
11:00 AM: Women at the Statehouse guided tour**
2:00 PM: Women at the Statehouse guided tour**
*The House session will begin at 10:00 AM, during which a Resolution will be presented honoring the anniversary. The Senate session will then begin at 1:30 PM, with the same Resolution presentation. Guests are encouraged to join us for both presentations.
Event will begin on the 3rd floor, South Atrium.
**The guided tour will have stops on three floor around the building with brief information given by the guide about women’s impact here in the building (Legislative, Executive, Judicial, and in the various pieces of art and plaques, etc.). The tour will take approximately an hour. Those wishing to take the tour can meet the guides outside the House Gallery following the morning resolution and outside the Senate Gallery after the afternoon resolution. No pre-registration needed.
