The Indiana Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission (“Commission”) was established by House Enrolled Act 1394 during the 2019 legislative session of the Indiana General Assembly and was charged with the following:
- Planning and developing activities to commemorate the passage of the 19th Amendment.
- Encouraging and assisting state agencies, local governments, and private organizations in coordinating, organizing, and participating in activities that commemorate the 19th Amendment.
- Working to create a legacy that elevates the contributions of women and men with a connection to Indiana who were instrumental or otherwise played a role in the process of ratifying the 19th Amendment.
